Projects of the CBO act as an impetus for development by using a three prong formula:
Personal Awareness
is an essential component in cultivating and engaging leaders. CBO projects focus on personal values, self-image, personality types, academic and personal strengths, understanding that these must be defined for proper development..
Knowledge and Skill Acquisition
is foundational in effective leadership. CBO projects teach the processes of analysis, interpretation and evaluating the quality of the knowledge base, while providing activities necessary to utilize research data sources, structured learning, internships, mentoring and coaching as well as, education and training options to acquire, improve and strengthen skills.
Problem Solving Modeling
provides a structured procedure for solving any problem as an invaluable tool for leaders. CBO introduces modeling due to consistency; Eliminates confusion, gets decision making process easier in providing justifiable solutions. True problems are identified, root causes determined, alternate strategies implemented with evaluation of foreseeable outcomes.
