Recognized as the State of Florida Outstanding Counselor Award Winner, this woman of passion, vision and purpose, embodies a candid down to earth approach to life. With an outspoken, humorous, transparent, insightful teaching style, she delivers her consistent Christian message that Love is the seed to affect lasting transformation and wholeness. From a pioneer family in South Florida, to spending over a decade as an entrepreneur missionary to Asia, Dr. Batton is dedicated to facilitating empowerment, nurturing growth, development and optimizing the innate gifts and talents to pursue one's original purpose and intent. Dr. Batton is a devoted wife to her husband, Pastor Virgil Batton, mother and grandmother.

Professional Experience

Dr. Cathy Ingraham Batton is currently serving as Executive Director for the Lion’s Den Missions Base, a community project-focused non-profit, as a United Nations Chaplain, World Vision Disaster Team member and with the National Red Cross. She is the founder and CEO of No More Time Ministries, which trains leaders around the world. She has established several companies to cultivate and deploy innate gifts and talents, to include a Waystation in the Philippines for those who would serve as foreign missionaries.  As a professional counselor and educational specialist in Miami, Florida for over twenty-four years, she was named, “Most Outstanding Counselor”, by the Florida State Professional Counselors Association. 

Her many roles and functions included: Crisis intervention, career counseling, marriage and family, counselor training and development for over 1,200 counselors; designing and coordinating the Miami Dade Suicide Prevention ‘Hot Line’; as well as, writer and producer of the film, “Teenage Suicide: The Modern Tragedy, for mandated personnel training. She touched many lives an English and Creative Writing instructor at Florida Memorial University and hosted a major market community radio-talk show. 

Ordained a pastor in 1976, she has had the privilege to served as assistant pastor in several ministries, planted churches, evangelized from Alaska through the west and east coasts of the US. For the pass eleven years, Dr. Batton was an entrepreneur missionary to Asia, serving Tribal groups with medical missions and leadership training in urban missions. Her travels include: Malaysia, Philippines, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Belize, Mexico, and most of the Caribbean and Leeward Island countries.

Academic Experience 

Dr. Batton received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications as a Golden Drum Scholar and a Master of Arts degree in Personnel Services, from the University of Miami. Conferred as a Doctoral Fellow in Public Administration, by Florida International University, Dr. Batton completed her Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling at the International Institute and Seminary of Florida with Post Graduate studies at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Central Florida.

Community Development Experience
 

Dr. Batton has the heart to strengthen families and develop communities as a foundation stone for achievement. She has utilized various platforms that have proven effective in this effort, to include: Love, Courtship and Marriage Seminars, weekly feeding programs, medical missions, mothers support group, mentoring programs, boat building for fisherfolk, counseling for runaways, Modello Housing Projects church plant and recreation facility, re-building of the Tsunami torn cities of Conception and Sara, Iloilo, Women Development Conferences, Perdue Rehabilitation Hospital Resident Interaction Program, Training and Ordination for Isolated Pastor Associations, Empowerment to Prosper Seminars, National Book Drive for under-served schools.

Leadership Cultivation Experience 

Dr Batton is devoted to the growth, cultivation and the development of leaders. She seeks to identify innate gifts, educate, train, mentor and promote those who will direct the world towards Love and Light as indicated in projects she facilitates, such as: Self Esteem Workshops, Servant Leadership, Telephone Encouragement Programs, Mentor and Mentee Project, Career Counseling Programs, Listen To Children Program, Personal Ministry Establishment, The Salt and Light Project, Training and Development for Ministers, Wisemen Seminars, Empowerment Seminars, Missionary Training Program, Expressive Arts Project, Library Development and Book Donation Program, Empowerment to Prosper Seminar, ‘Go Ye’ Tourism Missionary Training, Warrior of the Light Project, Discipleship Programs, Leader Curriculum and Training, Spiritual Gifts Seminars, Counseling and Leadership Seminars and Youth and Adolescent Development Workshops.

Art and Literary Works

Dr. Batton is a poet, patented inventor, published author, screenplay writer, film producer and video game manuscript writer. As a speech writer, she has written speeches for several widely acclaimed public figures. Her poetry has been used in other countries to teach enunciation to out-source company employees. Several of Dr. Batton’s books and manuals have been required reading and her film was required viewing by all personnel in the Miami Dade Public School System. Her body of work covers a wide range of topics, to include; “Life Lessons Someone Should Have Taught Me”, “To Love Him, a Book of Poetry”, “Counseling Emotionally Handicapped Children”, “Pastoral Counseling”, “Counseling Adolescents”, “Treatise On Homosexuality”, “God is On My Side, A Paraplegic's Testimony”, “Career Planning Guidebook,” “Nourish vs Nurture” and “Teenage Suicide: A Modern Tragedy”, screenplay and film. As a patented inventor, Dr. Batton is the originator of several products and processes of unique intuition and ingenuity.
